”Your Local Potato Day, Since 1996” !

Our Next East Anglia Potato Day will be on Saturday February 8th 2025 at 10:00am at Otley College again.

The latest East Anglia Potato Day event was held on Saturday February 10th 2024. Many thanks to Otley College, whom hosted the day. This was our 2nd year of staging East Anglia Potato Day, at what is, a most enjoyable venue.
This year, once again, a huge thank you to the many volunteers and organizers, that gave their time, and hard work, to make the event, a success. We really could not stage East Anglia Potato Day without you. A big thank you, to our potato seed tuber suppliers, that provided the event with high quality certified Class 1 Scottish seed potato tubers. Last, but by no means least, a big thank you to our customers, the public, that attended East Anglia Potato Day, and supported the event with your custom. You are the people that make the day, what it is. The event would not run, without you, and your kind support. Thank you.

Once again, we will build on the success of this year, and hopefully get back to the choice, and quantity, of the potato seed tubers, we offered before the pandemic.

We warmly welcomed, once again, one of, the most well known, and highly respected, authorities within the world of Potatoes, Mr Alan Romans. Mr Romans gave us an insight to his wealth of knowledge, with a fascinating and absorbing talk, entitled “Amateur Potato Breeding”. It was a real treat, to have Mr Romans’ presence on the day.

Thank you Alan.

The East Anglia Potato Day is an annual event that has been running since 1996.

It is organised and run entirely by volunteers from three organic gardening groups:

Norfolk Organic Group
Suffolk Organic Gardeners
Ipswich Organic Gardeners, Group

About 40 varieties of seed potatoes are carried. They are sold as individual tubers, so that you can buy as many or as few as you require.

We also aim to offer as omany organic varieties: pas possible, usually about 25%.
